Website Pier Pander Museum Online

The website for the Pier Pander museum was officially opened on the 1st of June 2007. On this website you can see the statues and roundshots of Pier Pander that were shot on site by Pictura. The statues come from different archive collections from Smallingerland and the Historisch Centrum Leeuwarden. Themes and roundshots were used to make this website so attractive.

Themes
The statues were recorded in the Memorix image bank but given a partial description or none at all. Even so, all the statues were visualized in a unique way using Memorix Themes. Some of the themes that were used are: depot, coins and busts. All related images are linked to a certain theme. This gives visitors simple and easy access to the complete collection. You can view the images with the theme viewer by selecting one from the theme gallery. All images of that theme are then shown in the image gallery. A selected image is shown in the zoom viewer and you can zoom in on the image to up to 5 times, allowing you to see it up close. You can also look at the image in a full screen viewer to enjoy every little detail.

Roundshots
Pictura designed a specials system to automatically photograph statues. This way a large number of images can be processed in a short time. The rotating plateau can hold up to 1000 kilograms (2200 pounds) and for every roundshot at least 24 frames are shot. The Objecten Roundshots page shows 15 statues that you can view from every side. If you click on one of the statues you can view it in detail with our roundshot viewer and let the images rotate automatically or control the rotation with the mouse.
