As much as 800 Belgian circus posters: the previous owner of the collection must have enjoyed collecting these fantastic and colorful prints. Teylers Museum has obtained the collection from a private collector and granted Pictura the honor of digitizing them because of how involved they are.

Employees of Pictura have personally picked up the collection in the transport containers. With special techniques the sometimes extremely detailed etches and lithographs were captured as realistically as possible. This is why you can now see every little scratch the artists made on your own screen.

The result is an extensive overview of the posters that have sinds 1890 announced the visits of acrobats, prodigies, crocodile wrestlers, clowns, trapeze artists, stunt men and other wondrous artists.
