Every year World Press Photo organizes the world’s biggest and most prestigious photography contest. This will be the 51st time.

Over the years World Press Photo has gathered a very impressive photo collection. Nowadays the entries are mostly digital files but in the past slides and prints were entered. Those old photographs are being digitized by Pictura for the World Press Photo archive. The entries of the prize winners of the last couple of years will be scanned, guaranteeing perfect image quality with one-for-one quality control.

2008 Edition
Starting the 29th of April the photographs of the 2008 edition of World Press Photo will be displayed. The yearly World Press Photo Exhibition will open in the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam and from there travel around the world.
