Saturday the 3rd of November 2007 witnessed the festive public opening of the brand new archive website of Streekarchief Bommelerwaard by Jan Buylinckx, its regional archivist. Aside from opening the website, special attention was paid to the digitizing of the newspaper archive for which Pictura provided the newspaper viewer.

The new website is filled to the brim and can be searched for:

• A complete archive overview and the inventories
• An image bank with approximately 6500 images
• Genealogical sources: church registers, civil registers, holy cards, family seals and surety bonds.
• A library with publications about the Bommelerwaard: books, magazines, newspapers and brochures (ca. 4,500 titles).
• A search system for 18 regional newspapers.
