The ambitions of The Markiezenhof

Open house and opening new website ‘The Markiezenhof
see and experience, search and find, do and learn, party and host

The Markiezenhof has the ambition to become a knowledge center where the museum and the archive can welcome their guests together.

This ambition shows from both the design and content of the website. The website provides access to the extensive digital archives that house both the archive overview and a lot of informative about visual material, genealogical sources and the library.

Everything at a single glance
A lot of attention was paid to making the combination of museum and archive available at a single glance. This was developed into the fold-out menu, the navigation, the search-all-databases option and a news feed that features all the Markiezenhof expositions. In short, Markiezenhof now has an ambitious website with brand new and transparent navigation.

Saturday the 20th of October historical center The Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom officially put the new website into use. The website is a heritage site made by Pictura and employees of The Markiezenhof and Pictura worked with gusto to make it as accessible and enjoyable as possible.

Everyone was welcomed by alderman Maarten van Eekelen in the Hofzaal.
