Recently Pictura finished the website for the major project Alle Friezen (All Frisians). It is now undergoing operational testing by a few municipalities. This means it is not open to all participants yet, but that day is rapidly approaching.

The goal of the project, an initiative of Tresoar, is to gather the public civil registers of all the Frisian municipalities in one large database. From then on, literally all Frisians can be found with this website.

Pictura will digitize all the public registers and publish them on the website. The metadata of the public registers will then be managed with Memorix Genealogy. Visitors can use a single site to search through all the public registers of Friesland.

At the moment, more than half of the municipalities participate in the project and for most of them the digitizing is already in full swing. As soon as operational testing is completed, the website will go ‘live’.
