O, o, The Hague, Fair City behind the Dunes

People who used to live in The Hague can search for themselves or their old school on one of over 2000 class photos.

On Thursday the 25th of September, the Haags Gemeentearchief was proud to present the new website Haagsescholen.nl. This site provides you with insight into the rich history of The Hague’s schools and class photos. You can quickly search and find photos sorted by your family name or a school’s name.

Radio TV West has also published an article about the website, in which you can find a video and a radio report about the launch of the website.

Pictura made a beautiful website to manage content and publish group photos at the request of the Haags Gemeentearchief.  A brief overview of the website’s functionality:

  • Managing and publishing photographs in a single application.
  • A web based application allows working from home (use of volunteers).
  • Corporate style website design optional.
  • Create passport photographs from the group photos with ease.
  • Comment function for the passport photographs.
  • Editorial processing of comments by the application manager.
