Historisch Centrum Het Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom shows the world what it is capable of. From the 2nd of September 2008 you can, for instance, order historical cards or explore your family tree. Pictura scanned over 400 meters of archive and made this accessible through the site ‘This is the biggest project ever in the Netherlands. Archive services often digitize material but none ever as massively as this’, says Frieke Hazendonk, head of the archive services. The Bergen op Zoomse Bode carried and extensive story.
